Garlic shoots from stray seeds
Onion shoots from last year
Spinach from 2010
We had a warm spell in Southern Ontario on April 3rd.
The weather was in +14 celcius. Snow from the last spring storm melted off.
We worked the Milton backyard garden.
These were survivors from the stray seeds of 2010.
Our bunny, Curry, enjoyed the Italian viking spinach.
We used the garlic shoots and onion shoots for sautéing.

Last of broccoli
Last of Zuchs
We had another great year with Milton backyard garden.
This garden is in a new sub division and 3 years ago was full of sub soil from the basement dig up.
We have been adding lots of organic compost and matter to develop the soil.
The produce yield has been on a steady increase.
This year we had tomatoes, bell peppers, chilli peppers, eggplants, broccoli, lettuce, spinach and Zuchchini.

Milton Backyard harvest
Roma tomatoes, Oxheart tomatoes, Trinco spicy chillies, Green peppers and Eggplants are from our Milton 10 X 20 backyard.
We froze some of the tomatoes after removing their stem area and double zip lock bagging.
We also shared some with our neighbors. The eggplant will be turned into non spicy curries with green tomatoes.
